I got to know about “A Science Escapade” (the holiday Science camp) through a friend. She sent her children
there in June 2021 and they enjoyed it so much that was the only camp they HAD to attend again the next
school holiday.
I sent my kids (5 & 7) to the December 2021 camp and THEY LOVED IT! Compared to the many camps my kids
have been to, their level of excitement for this one was way higher. Four months on, they still talk about the
camp every now and then and are already looking forward to the next one coming in June!
I love how the camp makes science concepts easy to understand with hands-on activities and experiments for
the kids to bring home daily. Best of all is that my kids still remember what they have learnt! In our daily
conversations, they occasionally mention things that they have learnt (digestive system, reflection & refraction,
conductors of electricity and osmosis, to name a few) and that’s one of the major selling point for me – that my
kids retain the knowledge of what they have learnt from the camp.
At the end of each day, Denise will also give a detailed summary of the day’s events, accompanied with lots of
photos. I really appreciate this!
I have been recommending this camp to many of my friends! I just hope that there will be slots for my kids
when the time comes for registration!

Workbook was a great aid to reinforce what was learnt during the camp
Excellent camp, both my girls really enjoyed it. The content was advanced but it was pitched the right way for
the age group. The day was filled with interactive experiments and the teachers focussed on repeating key
learning words.
The workbook is a great aid for future reference of what was learned (Newton camp does not do this). Denise
the organiser also sent out WhatsApp’s each day of pictures and learning points. I also loved how at the end the
children were treated to a fun Friday at the end of camp where the children did wall climbing etc. Thanks for
taking great care of them.

Daily updates help parents reinforce concepts with their children at home
Both Matthew and Makayla found the activities to be highly engaging. In fact, Matthew has attended the camp in 2019
and again in 2020. You guys are always able to find such interactive and tactile ways to explain scientific concepts to the
kids. And not to mention with the element of fun too.
I find the daily post programme updates extremely useful. They help to keep parents informed about the content and
structure of the day’s programs. Parents can also help to reinforce the concepts the kids at home too. Highly
recommended!!

Many hands-on experiments, with take-home sets to keep the learning going
My daughter (9 yrs old) has enjoyed herself very much at the workshops. It was wonderful to see her coming back to
share enthusiastically with me, what she had learnt that day.
I like the way the topics are being introduced to the children. It is very systematic and explained clearly to children of
different ages. She particularly enjoyed the hands-on activities and was able to explain the scientific concepts behind
each experiment.
“A Science Escapade” provided many opportunities for the child to do experiments and bringing home these
experiment sets to continue working with them.
She has attended several science camps before but this is the first time I see her so excited about going back for the
next day’s program. Of course, the highlight was the visit to Adventure HQ, where the team was able to integrate the
science concepts learnt with play activities.

5 Stars! This is a very hands-on Science workshop specially catered for kids. Both my 5yrs olds & 7yrs olds attended it
together and both like it very much.
The theme revolves around cartoon characters that children love and are interested in. Science concepts about
temperature, density, electricity, light and carbon dioxide are explained and demonstrated to children in clear, easy
to remembered ways. They linked these concepts to everyday life using real life examples and also educate children
about the detrimental effects of global warming.
The 4 days workshop is held at KidsAmaze, so after the morning workshop, the kids get to play for free at kidsAmaze
in the afternoon, hence the fee is really value for money.
Best of all is the dedication of the head teacher Denise who gave the parents very detailed debrief everyday of what
the children learnt. They also get to bring home all their quality experiments and my kids are able to tell me what
they learnt everyday.
We will definitely love to attend again in future. Thank you for the funtastic time!
