Welcome to A Science Escapade! – Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator Science Quest, where imagination meets invention and every adventure is powered by exciting hands-on discoveries!

Specially designed for curious primary schoolers aged 7–11, our Science holiday camp in Singapore brings fascinating concepts in Matter, Electricity, Energy, Forces, the Human Body and Living Things to life through intriguing hands-on experiments, creative problem-solving challenges and real-world applications that children can see, investigate and understand.

Through immersive storytelling and inquiry-based learning, children will predict, experiment, analyse and draw conclusions, developing essential Science process skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities while having an absolute blast!

Our programe complements Singapore’s MOE Primary Science syllabus, reinforcing key scientific concepts and terminology while enriching children’s learning through intriguing experiences beyond the classroom.

With our 1:5 teacher–student ratio, every young scientist receives personalised guidance and encouragement. Best of all, children will bring home a treasure trove of exciting Science creations and a colourful, comprehensive workbook to revisit and reinforce the fascinating concepts they’ve explored!

To complement their hands-on learning, they’ll also receive supplementary Science practice questions drawn from past school examinations, with answers provided, offering opportunities to apply their newfound knowledge and build confidence at their own pace, without the pressure of formal assessments!

The fearsome Vermicious Knids are closing in! Can your child engineer a daring escape and save Charlie? Get ready for a high-speed Science adventure as our young inventors explore the fascinating world of energy conversions and different energy sources through thrilling hands-on experiments and engineering challenges!

Watch their excitement as they design, build and test their very own scooting robots, flying discs and other exciting gadgets to bring home, discovering how energy can be converted from one form to another to power their creations!

Along the way, children will experiment, troubleshoot and refine their designs, developing creativity, scientific reasoning and problem-solving skills as they tackle unexpected challenges!

Afternoon – Power Up Grandpa Joe's Journey with Renewable Energy!

Can your child harness the power of nature to help Grandpa Joe continue his extraordinary journey? The adventure continues as our budding scientists uncover the incredible potential of renewable energy sources through fascinating hands-on investigations!

How can sunlight and wind be harnessed to power incredible inventions? And what makes renewable energy sources different from non-renewable ones? Through exciting experiments and imaginative challenges, children will explore how energy from renewable sources can be harnessed and converted into useful forms, discovering how scientific principles inspire innovative technologies and real-world applications!

DAY 2 - Mission Impossible: Electricity & the Secrets of the Human Heart!

Morning – Help Mr Wonka Guide the Astronauts Back to Earth!

Emergency aboard the Great Glass Elevator! Can your child restore the electrical systems and guide the stranded astronauts safely back to Earth? Our young scientists will embark on an electrifying rescue mission, exploring the fascinating world of electricity and electrical circuits through captivating hands-on experiments!

How does electricity flow? What happens when a circuit is broken? And how can electrical components work together to control different devices? Through exciting problem-solving challenges, children will design and build working electrical gadgets to bring home, investigating series and parallel circuits, two-way switches and the practical applications of electricity.

Amidst the excitement, they’ll strengthen their understanding of important Primary Science concepts while developing logical reasoning, experimental skills and confidence in applying their knowledge!

Afternoon – Race Against Time to Revive Charlie's Heart!

Oh no! Charlie’s heart needs help! Can your child unravel the mysteries of the circulatory system and save the day? The adventure takes a fascinating turn as our budding scientists journey inside the human body to uncover how the heart, blood vessels and circulatory system work together to keep us alive!

Why does our heart beat faster during exercise? How does blood travel around the body? And what makes the heart such an extraordinary organ? Through intriguing hands-on investigations, children will assemble their own circulatory system models, explore heart anatomy and discover the fascinating Science behind the human heartbeat!

An optional exploration of a real pig’s heart will offer an opportunity to observe anatomical structures up close, with an alternative activity available for children who prefer not to participate. This unforgettable Biology adventure brings important Primary Science concepts vividly to life!

Day 3 - Magical Bubbles & The Sundowner Nature Adventure!

Why are bubbles usually round? Can bubbles take the shape of cubes? And what makes some bubbles last longer than others? The adventure continues beyond the classroom with an unforgettable outdoor Science expedition at The Sundowner, where children will encounter some of nature’s smallest yet most fascinating creatures!

Through these extraordinary encounters, children will explore animal adaptations, habitats and ecological relationships, connecting MOE Primary Science concepts to real-world observations.

Their take-home earthworm habitat will inspire continued investigation, discovery and a deeper appreciation for the natural world!
